We are in a tough economy right now. I know people who are out of work, some can’t afford to accept the jobs they have available because it makes too little. I know many people say, “Take it and then leave when you get a better chance.” That doesn’t really work for the ethical or honest applicant. Are you supposed to apply for a job and lie through the entire interview, give off the appearance of a thoughtful employee, only to sit at a job to “collect a check” and not actually work? Money isn’t free folks.

According to Politico and CREW, John McCain likes to play craps. In a recent article at The Crypt, John McCain is alleged to have had some winnings from the MGM in Vegas and has not reported it on his Senate Finance Disclosure forms. CREW got wind of this and filed a formal Ethics Complaint with the Senate requesting that they launch an investigation and refer the matter over to the Department of Justice for prosecution.

I’m venturing into Political Investigations to add to my repertoire of services. The problem is getting started, so I’m trying this out without a client, just trying to see what I can find out. There are a myriad of resources out there for free and for a fee. I was looking into the California Form 460 and what details it provides when I came across the City of Stockton’s website and low and behold they include .pdf’s of all the candidates 460 filings. So it appears that Stockton’s City Clerk is really on top of it and I give them kudos.
