DHS ICE logo badgeNo, not another DHS agent caught up on To Catch a Predator or sneaking back into the U.S. with child porn, but allowing a human being (notice I didn’t say American) suffer with penile cancer only to release this “dangerous” (NOT) person back into society, why? To avoid spending money on cancer treatment. Sadly, this man is now DEAD. He died after DHS neglected him and after he had his penis amputated. It was still too late. Castaneda’s death “would have been prevented by the exercise of basic human decency.”

Courthouse News Service has a great article with details. Public Justice also tells the story.

His estate is suing the U.S. Government and I for one absolutely support them. Yes he was here illegally but you don’t neglect people and make the cost saving choice to release him to avoid paying for health care. Their conduct is absurd!!! Fortunately a Federal Judge agrees.
