We are in a tough economy right now. I know people who are out of work, some can’t afford to accept the jobs they have available because it makes too little. I know many people say, “Take it and then leave when you get a better chance.” That doesn’t really work for the ethical or honest applicant. Are you supposed to apply for a job and lie through the entire interview, give off the appearance of a thoughtful employee, only to sit at a job to “collect a check” and not actually work? Money isn’t free folks.
Craigslist has been a huge success for a lot of people. With all the options out there I must say that it is tough to find a good quality paying position and I imagine as an employer its equally as tough for them to find a quality applicant.
If you are in the Accounting field, I was recently advised about California Accounting Jobs and the job opportunities they have listed. At first glance it appears to have at least three fields for Google Adsense ads, but so does this site and it doesn’t take away from the legitimacy. It’s a tough market, so if you find that you’re in the Accounting field and looking for gainful employment, give them a gander.
